Communications and Social Media Volunteer
About the opportunity
Are hashtags, tweet aggregators, posts, likes, and shares part of your daily life? Do you have a marketer’s view of your audience that helps enables you to construct compelling and engaging messages? If so, we would love your help to reach our users and customers via channels like Facebook and Twitter. We also require support to develop website content.
We have a long history of supporting carers in the Enfield area and, now we are expanding our high-quality care services, we recognise we need to improve our online presence.
This is a great opportunity for a social media savvy person to join our team and to make a real difference to the way we promote our services and communicate with our stakeholders online.
This is a flexible role, both in terms of time and location, and would suit someone who is able to devote short regular spells of time.
We welcome applications from all sectors of the community, regardless of gender, race, religion, disability, sexuality or age. We particularly encourage individuals with experience of caring or supporting carers.
About Carers Trust Lea Valley Crossroads Care Service
CTLVCCS is a charity which, for over 30 years, has provided support for carers and their charges living in the Enfield area. Our carers are well-trained, and our services are fully accredited by the Care Quality Commission.
Until recently much of the funding for our clients came directly from the local authority. This has now changed to a direct payment model whereby clients receive funds directly to purchase services. With this change comes a need for us to adapt the way that we engage with clients, particularly embracing social media and other online channels.
What are they looking for?
Naturally, we need a great understanding of how to make the most of messaging technology, but we are also looking for a self-motivated individual who has as much of a passion for helping others as they do for written communication and newsworthy posts.
We are especially looking for someone who can bring their own ideas and experience to help shape this brand-new role.
This is a flexible role where it is possible to work from home as well as from our offices in Edmonton. Hours can be equally flexible and negotiable. We will cover all reasonable volunteer travel expenses.
If you are interested in this role, please call Sharon Kent on 020 8373 6210 for an informal chat.
